The TPM-2 Closing Meeting was organized to evaluate the final stages of our project and discuss the overall results, successes, and challenges of the project. This meeting provided an opportunity to determine the final steps towards the completion of the project and exchange feedback among partners.

Young World Summit

Event Location: Gaziantep, Türkiye

  1. Introduction: The "Youth World Summit (National)" was designed as a platform for young people to discuss solutions to societal issues, exchange ideas, and raise awareness about these topics. The event aimed to encourage young people to become knowledgeable and actively involved in various fields, including politics, economy, climate change, media, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship.

  2. Key Elements of the Event: The event included various key elements such as ice-breaking and team-building activities, discussions on thematic topics, evaluation activities, sustainability projects, and dissemination of outcomes. These elements were designed to encourage interactive participation and knowledge exchange among the youth.

  3. Participants and Event Process: Youth selected according to criteria set by the YDV Gaziantep Branch management board participated in the event. The event was carried out as planned, and documents such as the "Youth World Summit Declaration" and the "Renewable Youth Energy Policy Document" were prepared, reflecting the youth's ideas and solutions to societal issues.

  4. Results and Impact: The "Youth World Summit (National)" concluded with the preparation of documents reflecting the youth's perspectives and solutions to societal issues. These documents demonstrate the youth's views and proposed solutions to societal problems. The event served its purpose of encouraging youth to become more aware and actively involved in societal matters.

Empowerment Training Camp

  1. Introduction:

The "Empowerment Training Camp for Young World Youth Workers" was orchestrated with the primary objective of amalgamating participants encompassing youth leaders, youth workers, volunteers, volunteer managers, mentors, NGO representatives, administrators/workers, and NGOs. The camp aimed to bolster the development of youth in their youth-related endeavors while targeting the enhancement of knowledge, skills, and attitudes under the umbrella of cultural diversity, focusing on identity, culture, religion, and race.

  1. Core Elements of the Activity:

  • Warm-Up: Initiatives were undertaken to facilitate participant introductions, team-building exercises, and the fostering of a cohesive team spirit.

  • Thematic Subjects: Sessions were organized to delve into topics such as Youthpass, cultural diversity, inclusion, democracy, policy development, intercultural learning, youth worker, digital competencies, European Citizenship, non-formal education, active citizenship, and Youthpass.

  • Innovative Evaluation: Sessions were designed for participants to engage in self-assessment and holistic process evaluation.

  • Sustainability Project: Activities were structured around partner recognition, project idea presentations, and developmental discussions.

  • Dissemination: Strategies were delineated for the widespread dissemination of outcomes and outputs derived from the training camp.

  1. Methodology and Approach:

Activities were grounded in non-formal education techniques. Methods ensuring active participation, knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and experiential sharing were employed. Roundtable discussions, debate sessions, role-playing, simulations, brainstorming, contests, gamification, storytelling, forum theatre, energizers, group dynamics, team-building, and interactive presentations were among the methodologies adopted.

  1. Evaluation:

End-of-day evaluations were consistently conducted. Additionally, written and verbal evaluation activities were executed at the culmination of the project. Each day, a distinct partner organization spearheaded invigorating and mobilizing activities.

  1. Conclusion:

The "Empowerment Training Camp for Young World Youth Workers" manifested as a triumphant initiative aimed at augmenting the skill set and knowledge base of youth workers and leaders. Through the utilization of innovative, active, non-formal, and informal methods and techniques, the project's objectives were seamlessly achieved. This training camp has equipped participants with pivotal insights, enabling them to partake more effectively and consciously in youth-centric activities.
